For all of you that were horribly concerned. I’m fine. The train of supercell thunderstorms that ran over the nashville area for about 6 hours starting yesterday afternoon passed to north and south of my location, though it did hail a couple of times.
Not to diminish the impact of the tornadoes and the tragic loss of life.. but people here generally overreact to weather. As far as the rain, lightning and wind goes we’ve gotten worse in a typical afternoon thunderstorm back in houston. though living in an area where tornadoes tend to develop is a bit troubling. i may need to increase my renters insurance.
i couldn’t capture the entire arc well but this was a nice full on rainbow that appeared through a break in the clouds.
